The last debate.... Thank god...

First of all.. 101.1 is playing X-mas music already.. Last I checked we are more than 2 weeks away from HALLOWEEN!!! When will it start next year, Labor day? How ridiculous.

The final presidential debate was held last night. And again John McCain looked like a bitter old man who just wants Obama to "get off his lawn". McCain proposes to not raise any taxes, introduce new spending for children with special needs, bailout homeowners, and balance the budget by the end of his first term. Wow, that's awfully aggressive. The best part is that he never tells you how he's going to raise the funds in order to do this. He looks really bad right now. His "plans" don't explain anything. At one point he said he's going to "cure Autism". That's impressive. I wonder why he hasn't done so already. Also he's said in the past debates that he "knows how to find Osama Bin Laden." Not sure why John is holding out on all of us. Maybe he's not very smart. If he "found Osama" he would win any election in a landslide. Then again, who knows what the hell that guy's thinking on a moment to moment basis. He doesn't, he seems to change his mind every time he speaks it.

And then you have Obama. Cool, poised, well-spoken. Looking very presidential while McCain is spewing venom at him. At one point, Obama had an opportunity to rip Sarah Palin and he declined. He took the high road and merely praised his VP pick. When McCain was asked about Biden (a man McCain has called a "good friend") he tried his hardest to make Joe appear foolish and lacking judgement. Sad. The whole McCain campaign has been terribly run. At one point I used to like McCain because he was more of a middle-of-the-road republican. But now he seems just like every other republican candidate for president (Bush). For once wouldn't it be nice to have an articulate and thoughtful president. Any republican that can still stand by the Bush economic theory is a moron by any definition. Lets do the right thing this year.

Finally, lets talk about Joe Plumber. I don't feel sorry at all for this guy. If he's worried about Obama's tax increase for people making $250,000 a year, I have no sympathy. Maybe if I were making that much I would care. But you have to hand it to Obama. At least he's explaining where the money is going to come from for his new spending. McCain still has yet to do that. For all those people saying Obama is going to turn the country into a socialism. Shut up. Nobody was complaining when Clinton was in office. The rich stayed rich and the middle class experienced lots of economic growth as well. So just shut your yapper.
